Text Box: Bishan Home for the Intellectually Disabled is one of the first purposefully built residential home for people with intellectual disabilities in Singapore. The Home is designed to provide a family setting in bedrooms decorated with colourful murals, and clustered into neighbourhoods, each with its own shared communal living space for social  interaction and recreation.   We are proud of our “family culture” where you will not be surprised to find our residents affectionately referring to our staff as Kor Kor or Cheh Cheh (dialect for brothers and sisters). Our staff and residents are also actively encouraged through our community outreach programs to integrate with the wider community to build enduring bonds of mutual care and friendship.   Through this website, we hope you will be able to find out more about the special needs of our clients, our services as well as how you can make a difference by joining us in serving our clients with intellectual disabilities.
